If you are travelling to Japan—especially outside of Tokyo—I highly recommend hiring a car. We rented a van for 8 days, and it made travelling from place to place so easy. At first, we were worried about parking spaces and the narrow roads in Japan, but it turned out we were worried for nothing. There are plenty of paid parking spots, and the fees are quite reasonable. If you plan to hire a car, I strongly recommend Asahi Motors Rent a Car. They were very easy to communicate with, super friendly, and they even offer drop-off and pick-up at the location of your choice. They also extended our drop-off by one extra day without changing the fee. Big thumbs up from me — many thanks to them! Yes, I will choose them again if we are back in Japan!!!
We rented a 10 seater Hi-ace from Asahi Motors Rent A Car for around 8 days. Communication before and after we arrived was smooth as they can communicate well in English.
The rental rate was very reasonable, the van condition is good and very responsive in whatsapp communication if you face anything during rental duration.
We requested for delivery and pickup service from Narita airport and they arrived timely and the handover was very smooth.
Would definitely use their service again and really recommend the company if you are looking for a rental car in Japan.
